Daydream Island Dining and Facilities

Daydream Island Resort has several dining options to satisfy every guests appetite, tastes and budget. With three restaurants, three bars, a health hut, a bakery, Fish Bowl Tavern and takeaway meals available.

Opening hours vary. A weekly Food & Beverage schedule will be available for guests in their room upon check in.

Dining

Waterfalls Buffet Restaurant: Offers sumptuous buffet breakfasts with hot and cold choices. Continental offerings include cereal, toast, pastries, fruit platters, variety of juices, tea and coffee. For an additional cost enjoy the full buffet breakfast allowing you to choose from both the continental and hot breakfast items. Full buffet dinner includes international, carvery, Asian and Italian choices. On selected nights only, Waterfalls will run seafood buffet dinners. Children 3 years and under are complimentary. Children 4 years to 14 years, child meal prices apply.

Mermaids a la carte Restaurant: Located at the north end of the island overlooking Mermaids Beach and the lagoon swimming pools is the Mermaids a la carte Restaurant offering the relaxed holidaymaker and late risers Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. Enjoy a la carte meals from the wood fire oven or wok specialities and seafood choices available at dinner service. Hot and cold beverages available including tropical island cocktails. Mermaids childrens menu is available for lunch and dinner.

Boathouse Bakery: Located at the southern activities end of Daydream Island. The Boathouse Bakery offers guests the chance to pick up quick and easy meals at affordable prices. At breakfast fruit salad, croissants and espresso coffee are available. Lunch options include fresh salad rolls, sandwiches and pies and throughout the day chips, ice creams, espresso coffee, tea and cakes are also available for purchase.

Fish Bowl Tavern: Located at the southern end of Daydream Island with an entrance via a boardwalk over a lagoon, with the option to dine on the veranda dining decks. The Fish Bowl Tavern serves dinner in conjunction with the open air cinema screenings. Menu options include steak sandwiches, burgers and chips, spaghetti bolognese, fish and chips, salads, nachos and wedges. Childrens menu is also available.

Castaways Bar: The Castaways Bar operates on selected nights and is located inside the Fish Bowl Tavern. This licensed bar offers pool tables, big screen TV's and has a nightclub style layout.

Lagoon Bar: Is a walk up bar located in the Atrium lounge area serving hot and cold beverages including tropical island cocktails. Live music is performed on selected evenings.

Rejuvenation Spa Balcony: Dining is available in conjunction with your spa treatment on the Rejuvenation Spa Balcony. Meals are catered from the Mermaids al la carte Restaurant.

Splashes Swim Up Pool Bar: Splashes as the name suggests is a swim up pool bar located on the northern end of the island amongst the lagoon swimming pools. Splashes operate subject to favourable weather conditions. Offering an extensive tropical island cocktail menu along with other cold beverage favourites.

Gilligan's Bar and Health Hut: Located at the southern end of Daydream Island amongst the south end swimming pool precinct. Gilligan's is a gorgeous little beach shack with thatched roof look. Offering delicious smoothies, fresh juices, New Zealand ice creams, sandwiches, chips and cocktails. Gilligan's operating times may change subject to weather conditions.

Lobby Shop: Located in the foyer of the main reception area. The lobby shop offers light snacks such as chips, biscuits, chocolate and soft drinks.

Call & Collect: This catering service is provided by Waterfalls for the Dinner service. Choices are placed and picked up by the guest, meals are provided in take away style.

Skippers Kids Club

Daydream Island Resort & Spa has its own Kids Club for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. Babysitting is also available at a minimum of 3 hours.

Monday to Friday
Morning session - 8.00am-12.00pm
Afternoon session - 1.00pm-5.00pm
Evening Session - 6.30pm-9.30pm*
*only operates some nights during school holidays
Saturday and Sunday
Afternoon session - 1.00pm-5.00pm

The cost of the session:
Per hour is $15.00 per child for under 2 hours
1 child - $35 per session
2 children - $55 per session
3 children - $75 per session
4 children - $90 per session
(Must be siblings in the same session for Family Rate to apply)
