Daydream Island Resort and Spa

Daydream Island Resort & Spa is situated in the pristine Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and is an ideal island destination for both families and couples. Just one kilometre in length and 500 metres wide, Daydream Island is easily accessible from Whitsunday Coast Airport at Proserpine and the Great Barrier Reef Airport on Hamilton Island.

Daydream Island has three beaches to choose from, one is fringed by live coral and an array of coulourful fish life great for snorkelling. The highest point of the Island is a small but dense jungle of tropical vegetation inhabited by a number of the island's birds.

Please note, Daydream Island Resort & Spa will be closed until September 2018 for extensive refurbishments, with a planned re-opening date of 29 September 2018, with full opening of all facilities from mid-October 2018.

Daydream Island activities include an outdoor cinema featuring the latest movies to a fun filled 19-hole Australian themed mini golf course, direct access to a live coral reef in the unique open-air 'Living Reef' aquarium and the world class Rejuvenation Spa. Daydream Island restaurants and eateries cater to all tastes. Choose from al la carte dining at Mermaids Restaurant or all you can eat with sumptuous buffets on offer at Waterfalls Restaurant in the main atrium. Daydream Island also boasts a health hut and bar, swim up pool bar, tavern and bar and an island bakery.

Weather

Average Maximum temperatures on Daydream Island range from 23 degrees Celsius in July to 31 degrees from November to January. Facts

Daydream Island is part of the Molle group of islands which in turn is part of the Whitsunday Islands off the east coast of Australia. It was originally named West Molle Island but came to be known as Daydream Island when the resort was built. Day visitors have access to the southern end of the island whereas guests of the resort on the other end having access to the whole island.
